Pezula named Best International Property
The top football teams in the world are vying to make it their exclusive base camp for the FIFA 2010 World Cup. And now the internationally acclaimed South African resort estate, Pezula, has been heralded Best Property in the World, at the CNBC International Property Awards, presented in Orlando, USA on Friday 7 November.
The CNBC Awards, the biggest global property awards, drew over 4,000 entries this year from 56 different countries in six global regions, and were judged by a panel of well-respected experts in the field of property, design and construction, and international property writers.
Each regional winner of the 21 categories was re-judged to be shortlisted for the International Award for “Best in the World”. Only one winner per category was selected as an international winner. Sponsors of the awards include the Daily Mail, the New York Times and the Sydney Morning Herald.
Pezula Private Castle on Pezula Private Estate was voted Best International Property, judged on location, architectural design, appearance and finish. Details of safety, security, energy efficiency and innovation were also taken into account.
Pezula Group Chairman Keith Stewart said that the award gives further international recognition to Pezula, which has become one of the most awarded properties in the world.
